A PDF is not a word processor document — it stores glyphs placed at fixed positions, with no paragraphs to reflow. Doclium does the thing that genuinely works within that: it removes the old text and draws the new text in its place, matching size and colour.
Not in the way a word processor works, because PDF text does not reflow. Find and replace works well; for heavy rewriting, convert to Word instead.
It is shrunk to fit the original space so it never overlaps neighbouring words. If it still cannot fit, Doclium tells you which occurrences it left alone.
Size and colour are matched. The typeface is a standard substitute, so replaced words can look slightly different.
Doclium is a free web app for working with PDFs: merge, split, compress, rotate, protect and convert them in your browser, with no install and no signup to start. Where most PDF tools stop at the file, Doclium also reads it — ask a question and get an answer that cites the page it came from, so you can check it.
Chat with a PDF, summarise a long report, or translate one into another language. Clean documents up with OCR, redaction, watermarks, headers and footers, page numbers and A4 or Letter resizing. Every change can be undone, and every export is previewed before it downloads.
