Doclium lets you upload or scan documents, edit them, and ask questions about their contents. To provide these features, Doclium processes your document and the instructions or questions you submit. When you use an AI feature, the relevant document text and your request may be sent to the AI provider configured for Doclium so it can generate an answer, summary, translation, or other requested result.
Doclium keeps its own first-party, cookieless page statistics: the page visited, the referring site's host name (never the full link), and a daily rotating hash used to count visitors without identifying them. Nothing in that record can be traced back to you or to a document.
Doclium also uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how the interface is used. Clarity sets cookies and records session activity — clicks, scrolling, and a replay of the page — and that data is processed by Microsoft under its own privacy terms.
The parts of Doclium that display your content are masked before Clarity loads: the document viewer, chat answers, document names, saved exports and the signature pad. Clarity records their position and size, so we can see how the layout is used, but their text is replaced with blocks and is not sent. Masking is a Clarity feature and we rely on it working as documented; if you would rather not be recorded at all, most browsers' tracker-blocking and Do Not Track settings prevent the Clarity tag from loading.
When you access Doclium over HTTPS, traffic between your browser or app and Doclium is encrypted in transit. Documents are stored so that the editor, exports, and saved chat history can work. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please avoid uploading information you would not want processed by Doclium or its configured AI provider.
You can delete a document from the library. Deleting it removes the document and its associated saved chat history from the active Doclium service. Deleted items cannot be restored through the app.
Doclium's scan feature uses your camera or photo library only when you choose to scan a document. Photos you capture are processed the same way as any other uploaded document (see above) and are not accessed for any other purpose.
